As a dedicated and compassionate massage therapist, Melinda is committed to helping clients achieve relaxation, relief from pain, and overall wellness through personalized therapeutic care. Her training includes a variety of massage modalities — including Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Prenatal, Sports, Swedish, Thai, and Therapeutic — as well as techniques that offer reprieve from knots, headaches & migraines, and pain caused by sciatica. In addition, she is skilled in Cupping, Medi-Cupping, Vacuum Cupping, Cupping with Stretches, and Scraping. She tailors every session to meet the unique needs and goals of each client, and provides recommendations at the end of sessions that can aid in minimizing symptoms between appointments.
Her approach combines clinical knowledge with a calming, client-centered experience designed to reduce stress, improve mobility, and support long-term health. Whether you're recovering from injury, managing chronic tension or pain, or simply prioritizing self-care, her goal is to create a safe and restorative space where healing can happen.

We start with a short conversation about how you're feeling and what you'd like from the session, and the work follows from there.

The studio
Zen Within is a single, private treatment room on Columbia Road in Martinez — warm light, soft music, and no waiting-room noise. Parking is directly outside the suite.
On a first visit, arrive a few minutes early. You and Melinda will talk through what you're looking for and anything she should know about comfort or pressure, then you'll have the room to yourself to get settled. You stay professionally draped throughout, and you can adjust anything at any point.
