Before your first visit
Which massage is best for me?
That depends on how you are feeling and what you would like from the session. Some people want quiet, relaxing work; others want focused attention on a specific area. We will talk it through at the start of your appointment and choose together — you do not need to decide in advance.
Is it normal to feel sore afterward?
Mild soreness for a day or so is common after deeper work, similar to how you might feel after exercise. Drinking water and moving gently usually helps. If anything feels sharp or unusual, let Melinda know so future sessions can be adjusted.
How often should I get a massage?
It varies by person and schedule. Many clients come monthly for general wellness and relaxation; others come more often during demanding stretches. Melinda is happy to suggest a rhythm based on how you feel between sessions.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear whatever is comfortable to arrive in. For table massage you will undress to your level of comfort and remain professionally draped the entire session. For Reiki and Thai-style work, you stay fully clothed — loose, comfortable clothing is ideal.
